What exclusive use means

Nobody else is checking in.

From the moment you turn through the gates, Ashden Manor belongs to you. The house, the gardens and the Georgian dining room are yours for the whole day. There's no other wedding down the corridor, no strangers in the lobby and no one else's guests wandering into your photographs. Just your people, in a house that feels like home for the day.

  • The whole house, from first light to the last dance
  • A private dressing room to get ready in, unhurried
  • Gardens that only your guests will walk through

Your day, start to finish

Inside and out, all in one place

Ceremony, dinner and dancing happen under one roof, with the gardens just outside. Nobody needs a coach, and nobody needs a plan B for the weather.

Inside the house

Georgian rooms, made for gathering

Start the morning in the private dressing room with your favourite people and a glass of something cold. Say your vows in the indoor ceremony room, with tall windows and soft light whatever the forecast. Later, sit down to dinner together in the Georgian dining room, the heart of the house.

Out in the gardens

Room to breathe between the moments

After the ceremony, step out onto the manicured lawns for drinks and canapés while your photographer makes the most of the evening light. Guests can wander, children can run, and the two of you can slip away for ten quiet minutes. There's nobody else here to bump into.

Food is a big part of what we do.

Everything is cooked here at the manor by our own kitchen team, so the food arrives at the table the way it was meant to. Canapés on the lawn, a long dinner in the Georgian dining room, and something generous for when the evening guests arrive. Your guests will talk about it for weeks.

Everyone you love, within arm's reach

A hundred guests can sound small until you're in the room. Everyone fits around the tables in one dining room, the speeches feel like a conversation, and you'll actually get to speak to every person who came. Then, once the evening begins, there's room for more friends to join the party.

Elegant, never stuffy

A grand house that wants you to kick your shoes off

Ashden Manor is beautiful, but it isn't precious. Dance in the dining room, toast on the staircase, light sparklers on the lawn. And bring your pets: we're pet-friendly, so your fur babies can be in the photographs too.

Good questions

The things couples ask us first

Tap a question to open it. If yours isn't here, ask us. We'd much rather talk it through.

A couple running hand in hand across the grounds in evening light
Is 100 guests enough?

For most couples it makes a far better day. Everyone sits down to dinner in one room, nobody is stuck at a table at the back, and you'll spend time with every guest. In the evening there's room for up to 150 people in total, so the wider circle can still celebrate with you.

Will it feel too formal?

Not unless you want it to. The house is elegant, but the day is yours to shape. Pets are welcome, the gardens are there to be enjoyed, and our team is warm rather than starchy. Think a beautiful family home, not a museum.

Is exclusive use really worth it?

It's the difference between hosting in your own home and in a shared space. The whole manor, the gardens and the dining room are yours, and nobody else is checking in. Every photograph, every corner and every member of our team is focused on one wedding: yours.

How is this different from a nice hotel?

A hotel is built for many guests at once. Ashden Manor is built for one celebration at a time. No reception desk, no other parties and no corridors of strangers: just a Georgian house, its gardens and a team who know it inside out, all arranged around your day.
